Section 10C(1) of the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) (the Act) outlines a number of ways an individual can be recognised as a family counsellor including ‘a person who is authorised to act on behalf of an organisation designated by the Minister for the purposes of this paragraph’ (s10C(1)(b)).
