Our psychology services are informed by evidence-based practice which is an integration of the best existing research with clinical expertise in the context of client individualities, characteristics, culture and tendencies. With clinicians matching targeted psychological support services to mild to moderate mental illness presentations.
All RelateWell psychologists and counsellors receive regular ongoing clinical supervision and group supervision with the RelateWell external supervisor; ensuring enhanced clinical skills and practice, the maintaining of informed best evidence-based practice, and the enhancing of reflective practice to better comprehend the client-therapist dynamic.

Free mental health counselling via CAREinMIND Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services - referral required.
Sessions are for 50 minutes.
Recommended APS (Australian Psychological Society) payment schedule to see a registered psychologist for 46 - 60 minutes is $238.

Do you see clients under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan?
Our Registered Psychologists provide psychological treatment to clients under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan. A GP referral to our organisation is required in order to receive this service.
Note: Mental Health Care Plans are for 12 months per calendar year; and from 31 December 2022, individuals can no longer receive 20 extra sessions as a result of COVID-19.
Do I have to pay a fee to receive psychological treatment under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan?
Yes, a fee for this service will be assessed on your initial inquiry.
Full payment is required at appointment. As of 1 July 2022, you will receive a Medicare rebate onsite of $93.35 for a 50 minute session.
Is Bulk-Billing available via a Mental Health Care Plan?
BULK BILLING is only available under our significant partnerships with Merri-bek Maternal and Child Health Service and Youth Services.
And available to individuals whom are unemployed.
You will need a current Medicare card to receive this service.
Are you a CAREinMIND provider of Mental Health Services ?
Yes, our organisation provides counselling via the CAREinMIND Referral pathway for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services.
Your GP will be able to nominate our organisation as the chosen referral at the application stage.
The CAREinMIND pathway is funded by the Australian Government by the Melbourne Primary Care Network.

Client Confidentiality
In handling your personal information, RelateWell follows the national laws on confidentiality and privacy, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic); and Family Law Act 1975 (Cth).
Our psychologists and counsellors work within this professional code of ethics which obligates them to full confidentiality.
However, confidentiality is limited under the following circumstances: when subpoenaed by a court; failure to disclose information could place you or another person at risk; or when prior approval has been obtained.
Telehealth
For those clients who are unable to attend an onsite appointment, we provide telehealth counselling services via a secure practice management platform.
Cancellation Policy
Once an appointment has been made to see one of our psychologists or counsellors, as a whole hour is reserved for the appointment, we require 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of a scheduled consultation. 24 hours' notice is required to allow the time to offer the appointment to another client who is on our cancellation list awaiting an appointment.
A fee of $60 will be charged for non-attendance or less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. No further appointments will be scheduled until the cancellation fee is received. This policy is strict to enable the organisation to implement its waiting list, that benefits all clients.
